Korey Starling is a cutter. She didn't mean to start. But as she always says, "Shit happens." Now Korey's best friend is trying to stop her from harming herself. Jayden Cross is desperate to get Korey to step into the light again. To the beautiful spirited girl he once knew. Jayden can't help but hate seeing Korey the way she is. Destroyed.
Korey was once someone she knew. But she isn't anymore. She just wants to die. And high school doesn't help. She's only a sophmore. So when Jayden starts introducing her to knew music she slowly starts healing. Then she meets the members of one band that's putting the shattered remains of Korey together again.
Jayden knows Korey can be herself again. But throughout his struggle to save her he begins to notice something about himself. Maybe he's making a mistake, and who will really be there by his side when his world crashes?
