When it comes to sports, the only moments highlighted and broadcasted are those that are golden, when an athlete is at the top of the mountain, fearless. The trouble is that the lowest points in our lives are ignored and clouded out. It is at these times where one's character truly shows. All Sam Delmont has ever known was football. From the age of six, he's just been the boy who fell in love with the game and never looked back with nothing in his way. As the starting wide receiver for his junior year, Sam was on top of his high-horse with no intention of coming down. However, after sustaining serious injury early in the season, he experiences what it's like to have his world taken away from him, and faces a battle with his own attitude. What decisions will Sam make during his road to recovery? A story detailing not the sport itself, but everything that is not seen- how an athlete deals with status, pressure, attitude, and fear. Find out in perspective why nothing should ever be taken for granted, and learn that once you give up, you may never go back.

UNDER EDITING Michigan's soccer team had once again made it to the play-offs as the returning champions. Everyone excepted them to take home the gold, but as fate would have it, they would never make it to their destination. An eighteen-wheeler collided into the bus full of Michigan's varsity soccer players. There was only one survivor, Jacob Green. Six months after the accident, Jacob now lived in Kansas. His parents were hoping to give him a fresh start, but he only fell further into grief. All he could think about is how his closest friends in the entire world were gone and he was still breathing. And for a while, that's all he thought about until his best friend, Fisher King, who had died in the accident, reappeared. Jacob couldn't seem to catch a break from the occasional panic attacks, to Coach Sanders insisting he joins the soccer team, to trying to figure out why he could sometimes see his dead best friend, and to figuring out his feelings for a girl that seemed to be caught up in it all. He didn't know how much more he could handle before he broke and it would take a girl way out of his league, a couple of cocky football players, a nagging coach and an all powerful God to help a broken boy learn the value of life again. •• #69 in OUTCAST- 2021 #32 in ATHLETE- 2021 #83 in BROKENFAMILY- 2021 #64 in JOCK- 2021 #10 in GOLDENBOY- 2022 #10 in PANICATTACKS- 2023 #24 in NERD- 2023 #8 in OUTCAST- 2023
