After a terrible accident involving a car, a drunk guy and a crossroad, 17 year old Amelia lost her voice due to damage to he vocal chords.
When her father gets another job opportunity in New Jersey they are forced to leave Chicago behind and start over, something her mother gladly does believing it'll be good with a fresh new start.
The struggles of not being able to talk will be pushed to the limit when she needs to explain everything to everyone again, especially two rather interesting twins.
