She was marching off to war in helms deep to end the line of men but what happens when she sees that not only men are there to defend themselves but elves are also there and when she sees Prince Legolas she begs him to kill her, Legolas was shocked to see an Orc speak Elvish and once he did what she wished, Killed her. She started to turn back to her normal self, but will she ever be normal? Will she go back to her old life? His attempts to reunify the Orc clans and adapt to the humans use of weaponry causes division and hate amongst the Orc clans. Togran Ka fears the humans having had time to recover from the war, will return with a vengeance. Lucy and Rollo siblings abandoned by their parents, make their living selling items they have scavenged and repaired to any surviving settlements. Rollo and Lucy opposite sides of the same coin, Rollo a cheerful boy with the glow of innocence still around him and Lucy an overprotective cynical woman, who fears the moment her brother will lose his kind heart to the demands of the world. After a failed spider mission, Legolas is left injured beyond what the Greenwood healers can help. Thranduil, worried for his son's Fea, sends him to Imladris for help. But the unit escorting the prince is attacked on the way and Legolas, after barely escaping, then fleas to the most unlikely of places where he hides, refusing to tell anyone of his whereabouts, afraid to go to Imladris, afraid to go home. This story fills in some gaps from The Return and creates a few more that I may delve into in a later fic.
