Alejandra Martinez had a perfect life until she lost her mom and childhood to a violent tragedy that she witnessed. As a result, her dad fell into many patterns of abuse, leaving her to deal with the aftermath of it all. She continued life as best as she could with little hope for anything and trust in absolutely nothing, turning into someone her mother wouldn't recognize, doing whatever she needs to do to cope as well as to protect herself. He's known throughout the halls for his association with the most dangerous gang in the city, as well as his ice cold demeanor, all at the age of 17. He's as heartless as it gets - at least that's what everyone thinks. The two know nothing about each other. Despite that, they can't seem to hate each other more. But as time goes on, and they continue to cross paths, something changes. They begin to realize that there's a whole different side of the other that nobody knows about, yet it's the side that they might not hate about one another. That's what makes it even more complicated. As they each dig deeper past the facade the other has created over years of tragedy and destruction, it becomes dangerous for everyone involved. Kestrel's Diary
Eleven year old Kestrel is going through her goth phase. Of course, she doesn't really know what being goth means, and mostly chalks it up to "black", "skulls" and "being misunderstood". She's moody, she's sarcastic, she's that girl we all used to know. In no uncertain terms, she's... painfully cringy. Her main priority? Prove that goth kids are better than preps. But it turns out, to the surprise of no-one, that if Kestrel doesn't start doing better, she won't be allowed to go on school camp (which she's super determined to do for ~romantic~ reasons). Cue an attempt to become a better person, which brings with it a whole slew of things from new friends, new experiences and semi-unexpected new enemies.Complete

edit (7/6/23): bro what is this story? plot execution sucks fr 😭 A hard-working widow, Charlotte Wormwood, lost her daughter in a tragic accident. 20 years later, she stumbles across a homeless girl who appeared to have the same birthmarks as her deceased daughter! She appeared to have knowledge of her daughter's past life! Charlotte tries to solve the mystery of her daughter's death and the peculiar girl. She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events. Could this all be a coincidence or just some weird hoax? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone has there own secrets. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered.... Warning: contains violence in some scenes. I have no interest or intention in actually killing someone or something. This is just a book I like to write and criminal minds in the '40s-'60s got me thinking of writing my very first book (which is this one).
