Scarlett moves to a small town, in the middle of nowhere after her aunt suddenly dies. Shocked by her death, and struggling to move on, she lives with her only surviving relative, her grandmother. She is haunted by her past and confused at her family's death. Moving into this town also means a fresh start in a new school. Scarlett is both unnerved and drawn to her classmates, two boys, Hunter and Alex. But Alex seems, unusual, to say the least. And Hunter is lying to her. Both boys, and their respective groups, seem to be pitted against each other in a silent war. Scarlett is determined to find out why, but her grandmother is acting strangely also.
