Coughing as I have an asthma attack, fucking great. Wheezing as I pat my pockets for my inhaler, finding it and breathing it in. Falling to my feet, sitting on the cold floor. Growling. Turning around I panic. I see blazing red eyes in the darkness, crying as a dark shadow flashes towards me. Clumsily trying to stumble away.... That night I wish it was my last, but now I'm here. Alive. A word that is now a curse to me. What happens when I was suppose to be dead but was magically or perhaps purposely bitten?....

I always thought that love would be constantly happy. That someone would write me love songs and stupid poems and everything they did would make my heart flutter. I thought that there was always one person you could depend on no matter what to be there for you. Someone who still cared for you despite all your flaws. Someone who could see the best and the worst of you and still think you were the greatest person in the entire world. Hurt and frightened and no where to turn except for my journal. Curse words being streamed at me and you would have thought I had a father for a sailor. ~E.M.C Many poems focusing on the subject of Mental Illness, that many suffer with and the subject just isn't brought up enough. Poems focusing on a day in the shoes of a person with a mental illness and how some even ordinary simple tasks may seem not so simple to them.
