Gavin meets a guy at the library where he works and soon falls for him, but he doesn't want his brother and sister, who he has been raising for 2 years, to feel like he's abandoning them. Basically a whole lot of denial until Meg sorts them both out.

~Side note - Gavin's parents die at the beginning which is why he has to look after his siblings so if mentions of death upsets you then reading this probably isn't the best idea. Side side note - if you

So I read this fic ages ago but it wasn't complete and it hadn't been updated since 2014 and I really want to finish it so I decided to finish it myself, however, all credit for the idea and the first chapter goes to jaeparker on archiveofourown and their fic was called 'your graduation'. This is their summary: Michael and Gavin grew up together. Inseparable. best friends for life. Until One day Gavin just stops talking to Michael entirely.
