Marylyn Watson is witty, semi (and by semi I mean just barely able to make it up a flight of stairs without dying) athletic, almost always hungry, and most unfortunately, she's practically invisible to the naked eye. No, she isn't a lost soul, unable to cross into the afterlife and forced to live the rest of eternity haunting her high school. She's one of those people with a kick ass personality, but just isn't lucky enough-or rich enough, it seemed-to be someone people look up to.

Grant Sloane, on the other hand, is a different story. He's Bradford High's star quarterback-the school's lucky charm, their principal liked to call him. He's surprisingly intelligent, incredibly well-mannered, pretty wealthy and he's undeniably good-looking. It's no shocker everyone loves him and definitely no shocker that Marylyn has been crushing on him for almost her entire life.

Growing exhausted from pining after Grant, to no avail, on her own, Marylyn decides to turn Grant's best friend-Turner McGrath-and just like Brando, she will make him an offer he can't refuse.
