My breath hitched a moment when everything suddenly turned upside down. He's my best friend, and for as long as I knew him he hardly did anything to hurt me. Then again, what about the others? Tom would no doubt disown me even though he posed as a brother figure to me. Edd's and Matt's reactions would definitely reflect Tom's. The thought of betrayal tore me in two leaving me to sit on the fence. My head rung with so many thoughts at once I just couldn't gather myself.
