Isabelle is a girl with a dark past. It seems as if she gives off that vibe too, seeing as no one ever wants to be around her. Or no one besides her mother who does nothing but work and be around her. So she escapes to the woods behind her house, the only place where she can feel safe and protected. The only place she can feel at home. Until she finds something that changes her life forever. Then suddenly she has a genie, her mom is obsessed with her new boss and finally getting out of the house, she gets a mysterious new friend and the woods are no longer safe. She gets wishes, her mom gets a life, and Isabelle doesn't have to be alone anymore. But maybe being alone wasn't so bad. Especially when being around people tends to be a bit... life threatening for her.

The locals had warned me that no one in their right mind would enter the North Woods alone, not unless they had a death wish. It's a good thing then that I am not in my right mind. Fear had prevented me from returning to this place for years, but the nightmares depriving me of sleep threatened to steal what little sanity I had left, leaving me with no other choice than to confront the source of my apprehension. I was tired of pretending that everything was ok. That I was ok. I needed the nightmares to stop. But in order for that to happen, I needed to uncover my lost memories. The North Woods held answers, of that much I was certain. So here I stand, ready to face my past. If only I could get my legs to move. **FIRST DRAFT - UNEDITED **
