Jay Melbourne is the first child of Kolton Melbourne, the Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack.

This pack is special, only having boys born into it. No one knows how, but there are many rumors. A curse or more of a gift, boys being the more desirable child for more numbers to the pack.

Something no one would imagine happens, a baby girl is born in the pack.

Kolton and his Luna, Clara raise their little girl just like any other except for one major detail. They teach her different, compared to other werewolf traditions. They teach her instead of going and switching packs for her mate, to bring her mate to her pack. Why? Because Jay is the firstborn of the Alpha. When Kolton steps down, Jay is the next true Alpha, not the next sibling. She's bred to lead, not to follow.

With Jay being born, the whole pack is utterly shocked. Of course, she'll need more protection. She is more vulnerable to being attacked. Her being the first-born girl, some might not agree that she is fit to lead. Jay will have to prove herself to her pack and to her own self.
