But playing it safe also meant his options for fun were extremely limited. Sandy had cheated on him now, gone and broke his heart, and he was ready to let loose for a night.
Dallas Winston showed up unannounced later that day and Sodapop made a split second decision that no one would be more entertaining than good old Dally. Steve had Evie coming over for the night, Darry never went out anymore, Ponyboy had a heap of homework, Johnny was too timid to be much fun alone, and Two-bit was already six bottles into a case of beer. Wild and reckless Dally was Soda's only real option for any fun.
But when a night on the town turns sour and Sodapop lands himself in the hands of the police for the very first time, what will Dallas do?
