It's scary, how his mind fills in the blanks for him. When he wakes up in the morning, he expects Ryan to be there, sleeping next to him, but he's not. He texts Ryan something funny, a meme or a cat video, but halfway through typing he realizes that Ryan can't respond to him. He'll make food, expecting Ryan to come and eat with him, but he doesn't.

Grief is hard to deal with.

He's never believed in ghosts before, but he misses Ryan so much that he's willing to believe they exist so that he can have Ryan back. It's better than expecting Ryan to be there, only for nothing to happen. It's better than coming home to an empty apartment, somewhere where Ryan can't greet him. It's better than going to bed alone, with no one to hold and no one to hold him.

Among Us (Buzzfeed Unsolved Fan-Fiction) by Zakani_Donovan
3 parts Complete
The Buzzfeed Unsolved boys have done their fair share of investigations over the years, both from behind their desk and out and about on location. This time, however, was different. Something was off, and Ryan had a feeling it wasn't just his fear of the paranormal getting to him. This investigation / camping trip made him feel incredibly uneasy and that sensation only increased when he woke up in the middle of the night only to find Shane wasn't there anymore. ~~~~~ [Note: This is MY version of Demon!Shane which explains the how and why of him being intertwined with an evil being.] {Bold letters are used for emphasis, underlined text is used for letters, scripts or texts, italics are dialogue going on in the head of the person's whose POV the chapter is in. /Both italics & bold used as complete sentences are for a character that comes in after the first chapter...\ In the case of some dialogue interrupting a script, much like in their videos when there's nothing pointing to who said the line, the text aligned to the left is Shane speaking and text aligned to the right is Ryan speaking.} (Got the idea for this AU when I was looking through many pieces of fan art of Ryan and Shane. Since I didn't find a fic like this to enjoy, mainly because they are mostly centered around the Shyan ship, I decided to listen to my best friend's advice and make it myself. Cover is fan art done by taterdraws on tumblr.) Word Count: 12,300

Can't I Fit In Anywhere?

100 parts Complete

With the second year of Life Academy starting off, Tori notices that something seems... off about Ryan. Everytime she tries to confront him, he finds an excuse and avoids her or the topic. She's worried about her friend, and when she tried to fall back on the knowledge she knew of his home life, she discovered something heartbreaking. She knew very little about him. ~~ Ryan was dreading the beginning of school. Life just loves him when it starts the day after his whole family died all that time ago. Sure, he's happy, just not as much as he makes it out to be. He wants to keep his secret a, well, secret. That's however getting increasingly difficult. Plus, Tori isn't helping much trying to figure out what is wrong. He only wanted a peaceful school year. With more and more secrets coming undone though, that doesn't look like a possible outcome. Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot idea Mentions of cutting, death, and suicide.
