~ Introduction ~

As Dan looked at his daughter Emily, Dan could see how much of a mix of him and Phil there was. Phil's nose, Phil's eyes and Dan's tanned skin. It pained him to look at her, not because he didn't love her, but because it brought back painful memories of his beloved and their very short time together before his departure. "Daddy, I want to hear a story about Papa." Emily said. Dan smiled at the thought that he could finally share the good times of his and Phil's life until his death because Emily was finally old enough.

"Come sit down." Dan pointed to the patch of floor before him, Emily sat down, looking up at her father and waiting for him to begin telling the story. "It all started when I met your father in year 8. He was the most handsome and amazing boy in my class and I had a crush on him. I was very shy when I was your age, so I never talked to him, until one day at the school gates...." Dan explained.
