Ella Carter ran away from her home in Brighton at the age of 18 to London to test her luck. After getting into Birkbeck University and supporting herself by waitressing, she meets Michael Higgins. He seemed like the perfect knight in shining armour and she falls hard for him, until she sees another animalistic side to him. Now, five years later, she is bruised, battered and broken. She decides to run away from her wedding after she comes across a soul-shattering experience.
