Mermaids were always just stories, creatures that were never thought of as real. Until now.
Willow is a 14 year old girl who is trying to make the most of the rest of her Summer when a mermaid is found off the coast of her small town. The creature is placed in an aquarium to live out its days in a small tank. Willow can't help but feel bad for the poor thing and takes it upon herself to release her back into the ocean. However, it won't be easy with a persistent scientist and a less than willing friend. Willow has got her work cut out for her.

Like shadows they lay in wait, the deep blue waters hiding them from view. With sharp claws they attack, Pointed fangs tearing into skin, Eager mouths devouring human flesh. Cally was taken, dragged under the water by one of the vicious creatures. But she was not devoured nor torn apart by ruthless claws--no. She was a captive. ~•~ Water instantly invades her senses. Her eyes sting, her lungs and nose burning. She thrashes, kicks, claws--anything to get away.
