Still heartbroken from Oz's infidelity and sudden departure combined with feeling entirely useless to the Scooby gang, Willow Rosenberg continually searches for the answers of what more could she do- what else is out there for her to prove herself worthy of respect, and possibly... love.

Only in a place called Sunnydale does strange things occur: a classified and highly dangerous military experiment has tragically gone wrong and is now missing, Anya's constant inappropriate social norms are driving Xander more than a little nutty, Spike's depression as a 'neutered vampire' constantly borders on insanity, Buffy's spanking new boyfriend has some hidden secrets of his own, the return of a dark Slayer now hellbent on revenge, and as usual, an Apocalypse sends the gradually drifting apart Scooby gang out of whack.

Willow's magical bond with her new friend Tara, another practicing Wiccan, becomes deeper and bordering on love as the days past, and the realization of that scares the redhead. But no one, not even Oz, made her feel this...complete.

Could this be the answer she's been looking for?

Yet again Darkness is hungry for a war to end it all, but Light will always have troops at the ready. One girl. One kingdom. Eleven friends. Four Elements. No biggie. * I'm Melody, hybrid freak, nice to meet you, strange muggle who I know nothing about. I used to be like you, cluelessly ignorant and uninvolved with the outside world. You know, they have a big, yellow ball of gas in the sky. Weird. Anyway my life became something out of a bad Si-Fi movie, and no, Nicolas Cage isn't in it (sadly). There are two forces in the world, Light and Darkness, and when you side with Light, Darkness gets a stick up its ass and wants you to suffer. My friends and I, we roll with Light, you must know where that leads.... I have a kingdom to learn, powers to master, loud friends to keep in line, a boy that I'm messed up over, and above it all, Darkness to show whose boss. Not as easy as you might think, but this is MY story, and I know how it ends. Being a loyal follower of Light shows me the beauty in life and the devastation it can cause. Don't get me wrong, I love Light, but Darkness makes it hard to stay and fight. * Melody is weird. She's childish. She's awkward. And she's got boy issues she needs to work out. Mel will face evil like no other, but can she do it? Will the scales of Light and Darkness finally be tipped? How can one girl make a difference? This is Melody, a corky teenager, and she wants you to read her story. Like now. Enjoy! Highest rank- #69 in Fantasy (Still cant believe it!!)

SOME CHARACTERS AND PLACES USED IN THIS STORY BELONG TO JOSS WHEDON AND BUFFYVERSE CREATORS, I DO NOT CLAIM TO OWN THESE* AU where: Angel and Buffy are still a power couple in season 3, Willow and Oz are just friends, Faith and Buffy are way closer Buffy Summers and her band of Scoobies have enough on their plate already, between school, dating and, well, the forces of evil. But clearly someone disagrees, when the charming yet clueless Sean Campbell and his angry, mysterious daughter Val arrive in Sunnydale, just as word of a 'larger evil' gets out on the street. As Buffy and Cordelia work together to puzzle out the locked fortress that is Val, time ticks away and the evil grows larger. But are they wasting their time on two innocent newcomers? Or is the dark witch behind all this right in front of their eyes?
