An excerpt from Consequentially: Chapter 1 We opened the door just in time to witness the girl’s parents simultaneously breaking down in tears. Her parents could neither see nor hear her, and the child’s comforting fell upon deaf ears. Slowly she turned toward each parent and embraced them, no doubt relishing their companionship despite their failure to notice her. The girl sat with them for some time, crying in shock and disappointment, feeling useless and lost. She tugged at their sleeves, screaming and kicking, trying to make them feel a touch that no longer belonged in this world.

trigger warning: this is poorly written it was my first story and has very bad writing i recommend not reading it! you can read other stories of mine, but this one is terrible. another warning: cancer, dead parents, fighting, etc., when two boys find each other on a school bus to 'School For the Mute and Deaf'. they become best friends and, eventually, one of them realizes he loves the other more than a best friend.
