Penelope Beckett is a young woman of many talents.
Be it art, photography, or the uncanny knack for getting herself into trouble she can't quite wriggle out of on her own, she's mastered it all. She's the type of person who can talk her way into a VIP party but somehow forget to talk her way out of a parking ticket. A walking contradiction- both fiercely independent and yet somehow always needing to be bailed out of something.
Sophomore year of college was supposed to be smooth sailing. She had the perfect plan: keep her grades up (just enough to not get a concerned call from her parents), keep her part-time photography gig going, and most importantly-avoid drama at all costs. But life, as usual, had other plans.
She tells herself she has everything under control.
She tells herself she doesn't need anyone to save her.
And then, of course, someone comes along who makes her question all of that.
