You weren't supposed to be alive, and Arkin wasn't supposed to survive. You weren't exactly happy, but you were surviving in your little life with your abusive father and his whore of a stripper girlfriend. And then you saw a man throw someone down the flight of stairs next to your apartment. Throwing caution to the wind, you didn't care what happened next. You just didn't know you'd get a friend, a family, and maybe even a lover. But Arkin can't run from the past for forever. Only question is, how much is he willing to risk to keep you safe? ***** Many of you may remember my story Basically Strangers. This is the better version, rewritten to make more sense. Its yandere x nonbinary reader. I've changed the story and edited the characters. The reader uses they/them pronouns. Okay, so. This is going to be a weird thing to say, but Arkin has a caregiver personality towards the reader. Anyone who knows about or takes part in age regression will recognize that fairly quickly. If his personality and actions make you uncomfortable, stop reading. Don't get mad at me for my character. This was originally based on the idea of "I like you and literally nobody else". Their faces forever burned in his mind. Just as burned as the old country house he used to live in. His parents. The smoke. The Smoke. The Fire. That Damn Fire. I'm a huge Pokémon fan and have been ever since I was little. Recently I've been playing Pokémon Ultra Moon and have been thinking about how I would be in the Pokémon world based on my knowledge of Pokemon. Now since this is a fictional story only really using myself as the main character, no one that I know in real life will be mentioned aside from my family and my fiance. Anyway, I'll state what happened to me ending up in this world at the start of the story. I found this art on Google and it's of Team Rainbow Rocket.
