Ty and Ash and Cosma

/ I look to the side lines and see our school's cheerleaders standing in a huddled group. I catch the eye of one. She smiles and waves at me. I smile back, then continue to look up and through the stands. When I get to the top row, I see a boy, sitting alone in the corner. His cheeks are rosy from the cold, although he is wrapped up tightly in a wool jacket and scarf. I meet eyes with him.
For a moment, everything is frozen. I can't stop looking at him. We are in the eye of a hurricane, and the world has stopped. /

Ty is a lonely, friendless boy. Ash is a popular football player. No one would ever expect their worlds to collide, even themselves.

Cosma and Ash are best friends. Cosma goes to the boarding school on the opposite side of the woods. Cosma and Ash are each other's escapes from reality.
