I always loved her, but she had a boyfriend. My name is Ella and I'm in love with a girl I barely know. Her name is Tessa and she is the complete opposite of me. She is cool and popular, she usually wore black and she was the most pretty girl I had ever seen. I on the other hand, was a geek. Like a real geek. I wasn't popular at all, the only thing I did in my spare time was to write.

One day Tessa suddenly came to my house. We never talked before so I had no idea how she knew where I lived. She told me that she broke up with her boyfriend and that she wanted to get away from this small town. And she wanted to leave this town with me. So we did. We packed our bags and we left. Not knowing where to go. Not knowing how we were going to live, but we didn't care. We just wanted adventure.

-- THIS BOOK TAKES PLACE THE SUMMER BEFORE "AS SHE FADES". You can read this book as a stand alone but it is fun if you read As She Fades as well, because there are a few characters from that book in this book as well--
