Catalina Stone was born into luxury, but with a price. She was raised by the Stone Mafia-a world of power, blood, and danger. By the age of eight, she was already learning how to lead, and by sixteen, she took control. At eighteen, she pushed her mafia into the top three in the country. Now at twenty-three, Catalina is everything she's worked for: strong, sexy, and in charge. But lately, things aren't so simple. New people, new emotions...things are starting to feel, human. And for once, she's starting to question it all. Then Giovanni Perez walks into her life. And everything changes. But Catalina knows better than anyone. When you mess with fire, you're bound to get burned. Sample: "Mafia I see, didn't take you as the type," He said, breaking our silent staring contest. "Then I'm doing my job," "Damn good one if you're in the top three." "Thank you, I know," I said. We were studying each other. His body in that tux looked delicious. His hair was styled differently, less slicked back, I liked this one more. He was practically looking at me the same way. Like as if he wanted me right now, on this table. "Why'd you leave?" He questioned. "Well, it was a one night stand wasn't it?" "No, we wanted to be friends. But since clearly now, were aligned, we can be more." He said. Definitely not. "No, Giovanni, you and I are just work partners. Nothing more. Don't get confused from something that only happened once." My voice was serious. I was serious. Now that I know who he is and that we're working together, I can't risk it. "One date." He said.
