"No"  "What did you just tell me "  "I said no you ass!" He walked up to her , towering over her fragile body.  She cowards down. The next thing she knew was the stinging feeling coming from her cheek. "Don't ever say no to me again" 

Ava is an 14 girl in the 8th grade. She listens to heavy metal and wears nothing but black. She is an amazing student but has tons of dark secrets.  Some that may change her whole world. 
Henry , Ava's father , is a drug addict and an alcoholic. He is far from a gentleman, treats women like trash and goes to bars all the time. On top of all that he is abusive. 
What has in store for these ...... only the future can tell.
