Except when the shuttle lands, there's no sign of the original landing. The captain purposefully leaves Brian and he's left stranded with nothing other than a weird book he finds that's in oddly perfect condition.

He'll now have to face the true about the "time of peace" he lives in and face the consequences of humanity playing with things they couldn't possibly understand.
