Picture this; On the verge of the Election of 1800, Senator Aaron Burr and Vice President Thomas Jefferson are both trying to claw their way to a shot at being the third president of the United States. New York delegate, lawyer, general, and former treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton stands in the way of the both of them. Politics is the weapon of choice for the man who built Manhattan. The fierce Federalist- possibly the most influential man in the state of New York- desperately needs to be won over by both of these men in order to succeed. Earlier, Aaron Burr thought he would be willing to utilize his daughter as a political means to an end but just as the election is inching nearer and Theodosia Burr encounters the handsome, charming, and shockingly sweet Philip Hamilton- he ultimately decides against his former plan. Alexander Hamilton casts his votes for the unthinkable candidate, and Jefferson takes office. Aaron Burr arranges a marriage for his daughter and takes up his new job with a bitter anticipation. Philip Hamilton finds himself falling for a girl he can never have, struggling to move up in a narrow minded world that was essentially designed to benefit him.
