As I walked into the clinic I couldn't help but feel a million butterflies fluttering in my stomach. This was not the way I pictured becoming a mother. But at my age (27) looking for a lifetime partner and eventually getting pregnant was out of the question. I don't want to be 35 and pregnant. I had dedicated 4 years to college and then another 5 years to my career. I'm not going to say I wasted my life away, but I think it's time for me to take the next step in life. Even if that means taking it alone.
