That was Toril's dream, but the sea was no place for a woman. Her mother, a domestic servant to the Governor and his wife and two daughters, believed Toril's dreams were silly, and urged her to become a seamstress when she comes of age. But when the Governor's stage boy, Henry convinces Toril to stow away on his father's ship, Toril's dreams start to become a reality, leaving her mother and sister behind. Upon being discovered, Toril is taught to be a cook, but it trained by Henry's older brother Peter to become a skilled sailor, teaching her the ways of a ship mate. She is taught everything from tying knots to sword fighting, but is that enough to help her in case of a savage pirate attack?
