For 200 girls, Spring means a lot more then flowers and blossoming loves; to them it is a competition to become a princess. 

But for December Barclay, being an inductee is not so great as its title says. Rules, Lessons, and even the competitive classmates have all effected her greatly. Even though being a princess might be a great accomplishment in life, December still differs from it.
