What if Katniss didn't get saved my Plutarch nor Haymitch in the end of 'Catching Fire'?
(Props to Suzanne Collins for such an amazing trilogy.) I used the first two paragraphs in chapter 27, everything else is mine.
This is recomended to poeple who read the books or at least seen the movies. Do whatever, I'm not a cop.

We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. I think it's time those questions were answered. Katniss Everdeen has found herself in a situation that is a danger to her and the ones she loves. Ever since she pulled out those berries, President Snow has been a looming threat. When the Quarter Quell announces that she will be forced to repeat the Hunger Games again, she finds comfort in the arms of her star crossed lover, the boy she's turned away from, the boy she's grown to love. But when she finds herself pregnant, Katniss can only wonder how she can get both Peeta and their child out alive, Even if it means her own life.Complete
