Mermaids, Humans and Sirens have never mixed. Wars have been waged, genocides carried out, and battles fought. After a few hundred years of fighting and death, the two water-bound races disappeared, hiding within the deep ocean.
Over time, the general population forgot about their existence- that is, until the protagonists of this story somehow managed to weasel their ways into this book and prove that sometimes, even in this unforgiving, harsh world, damage can be fixed and bonds healed; if only somebody cared.

Notes: Takes place on a post flooded earth, land is scarce and often swallowed by the rising tides daily, humans have taken to the water and over thousands of years evovled into mermaids, much of the knowledge of human civilization is lost but not fully forgotten. There is a semblence of society but due to the strained environments much of culture was regressed into a more mordern tribal structure societies scattered in little to big settlements with their own unique territory.. Many tools and necessities have evolved with them but things like phones tvs and other things were lost in the great rising.
