Romy's parent's had moved her across the country, but the move itself isn't really what bothered her. She was bothered more to be separated from her best friend-soul mates. Thankfully, a year and three months later she returns to Old Willow Creek and her beloved friends.
Things aren't quite the same, though, and the rules the group set up so many years ago are being broken. Can Romy fix the relationship between her friends and convince them one exception is okay?
On top of all that, the new kid, Ollie, starts to show interest in her after just one kiss. Since her friends already accepted him into their group during her absence she feels obligated to do the same. However, just when she feels she can trust him, his past comes back to haunt him. Can he prove to her that he is innocent and win her over? Or will he just give up on himself in the end?

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I questioned trying to get out of Tommy's grip as he pulled me down the stairs. "We're leaving." He responded.What no who does he think he is?!?! When we got downstairs everyone was down there minus my brother I never see him anymore. Ash had a suitcase for me and was crying along with my mom and Summer. Tommy let me go. Something Like Spring
The fall had been a big mood ring for Oskar. Breaking the school rules he gets almost expelled from school, but it brings him and Aaron together for the first time in 2 years. The structure and rules aren't the same. In juvie, rules were like opinions, people ignored them. But in the real world, supposedly it wasn't socially acceptable to steal cash, or graffiti the front of the school building. Enter the Harrisons, the family who's taking care of her. The matriarch of the family hates her criminal record. Sammy, the seven-year-old, is too clingy, too innocent, and too naive to understand anything. Then there's Jay, the guy she's forced to share a room with. A self-righteous son of a bitch, Jay doesn't understand Carmen and doesn't understand her self destructive way of thinking. Though he's not bothered by her, he's fascinated with her. The family represents the structure and rules that Carmen doesn't, nor wants to, understand. But as Carmin starts to push back at the structure and rules suddenly rushed into her life, it starts to change. Her whole way of living is thrown off balance, what she deems normal isn't.
