(rewrite of Namida no Aya, a Naruto fanfiction and Kakashi love story)
Who names their kid Amaya? (Spoiler alert: our protagonist's mom.) A morally ambiguous liar comes into town. From another world. And by town I mean a world of manga. No, not like some land of paper and ink, but like the world suddenly springs to life around her (well, she kinda fell into it, but close enough) Well, as per the usual a healthy dose of what the fuck and fuck, run away is served up with romance thrown in because its a rewrite and im obligated to keep it from the last story.

The Oldest Nara: Kakashi x Reader
Shikamaru's elder sister, Y/n Nara, disappeared at age 16. As a known friend to Itachi, her whereabouts become a concern for the Leaf Village. Y/n has a clan kekkei genkai that hasn't reappeared in the bloodline since the founder of the Nara clan, making her the strongest of the Nara's and somone the village has high hopes for. Now that she's home, is there someone who can get her to stay? ••• The story ends in a place that makes sense, so I'm pausing updates for awhile. Might come back and add more to it, might not. It's complete enough as is tho:) ••• To explain the ages, Y/n is the same age as Itachi meaning Kakashi is 8 years older and Shikamaru is 5 years younger. I love it too much not to. I'm not watching the anime currently, so the timeline and scenes might not be perfect. But, it'll be close enough and the story will still be good af. After meeting her the Hokage allows her to be in the ninja academy. The Hokage takes a bet on this little girl will she be an enemy or a great ally? Her only problem isn't just fitting in. Scared and mourning her losses. She meets people the kindness they show her is unknown and comforting compared to her very lonely past. Her adventure begins! I finished the story recently and I left a lot of cliff hangers or gaps in her past and a ending that isn't ideal. If I revise, I will fix that and probably change the end. UNEDITED Amai Reshima. A talented girl who refuses to be a ninja ever again after all the tragedy that has be fallen her. She even goes to the extent where she hates the Genin. Believing that they don't know anything about the sacrifice that they signed up for or the pain that will follow. So after living in her village for two years doing nothing, Amai is exiled to Kohona. There she meets the Third Hokage who puts her on team seven. She agrees with the terms but with one small change. She won't have to take off her hood until she sees fit. And if she still doesn't like them, she wants to be relocated to a more professional squad. With the secrets she is clearly hiding, team seven doesnt know if they can trust her and with her pushing them away it makes it even harder. Kakashi is afraid that she may turn against the village and betray everyone. Though not even he knows the demons she carries. The curse her family has kept secret for centuries. Only she will be able to overcome but it doesn't mean it has to be by herself.

I want to really emphasize her relationships with the other characters as if she truly were a part of the show. What a sucky character she would make if she were only there to be Kakashi's love interest right? My goal is to make her seem as if she could be a believable character in the show. This was also written with the way the anime is made in mind. I will be adding my own arcs to the story to spicy things up and not bore you to death with things you have already watched. WARNING: will contain mature content at some point (not when they're still kids, duh) This story will have three parts (all in this same book, I'm not making three different books) dividing the different time periods of the show.
