What if Bella had a choice in telling Will instead of being forced to? This collection of one-shots explores some of those what-ifs and the situations that could've happened. The idea for these was created back in 2016 and has been revamped with better grammar, formatting, and fleshed-out plotlines. So, leave the land above behind and dive into these stories!

This is a short story that follows and focuses on Bella before she met Cleo and Rikki. This is a prequel (meaning her backstory) life growing up in her hometown and how she dealt with being the "only mermaid" this short story will show all the challenges Bella had to face alone. Most of the story will take place a year before she moves to Australia. But there'll be flashbacks from when she first got her tail. Okay, so this is a self insert one-shot, friendship...thing, whoop. Additionally, I know you guys have biases for the girls so I created four different one shots where you're brought into the friend group by either Rikki, Cleo, Emma, or Bella; your pick and the stories will continue from there along with different backstories for each self-insert scenario. Also, fun fact, I will be filling some of this writing with my head cannons because it makes writing it way more fun!
