Metropolises like Arithmo City 0-0-4 all over Havaria, and even all over the world, have become exceedingly overcrowded and over-polluted, leaving their lower class men, women, and children to die everyday. Crime rates have risen exponentially, becoming too much for the country's police force to handle; the realization of a mysterious organized, blood-thirsty group, who call themselves DEMONS, begins to turn the police force's attention away from minor criminal activity. Wars and skirmishes begin at the borders of the country's over petty things. Families of SERAPHIM officers end up being caught in the crossfire of grief and devastation.
Leviathan Slate's father is one of those officers. The death of his father was just the beginning of his life spiraling out of his control. Shortly after, his mother's health begins to deteriorate more so, her life hanging on by a thread; his uncle's gambling addiction draws in more trouble to the family.
Soon, Levi finds himself on the run, fighting to stay alive.
Loan sharks want the money they loaned Levi's uncle back; DEMONS want to recapture Levi to keep him quiet, he believes.
The problem is. . . Levi doesn't know who's trying to kill him and who's trying to save him.

I sucked in a breath as I saw the knife in his hand, his face held a mischievous grin as it glinted in the light. The drawing she just found was a realistic depiction of myself smiling at the person who saw it. Unlike myself, who felt joy and inspiration from seeing father draw me this, mother was scared witless. Her legs became jelly, her body was paralyzed. But that desire for death causes more than just a few changes to the definite plot; From little ones that have no effect at all, to life changing ones that may destroy the world of Arraxus.
