Ladriene is a colorful world. Home to brooding assassins, reluctant paladins, talking celestial deer, curious merfolk, dragons in disguise, and one death knight that just wants to be left alone. The story of Ladriene is long and complicated. In ages past dragons conquered the lands, cultists threatened the balance with their fearsome dragon riders, and the harrowing Abyss swallowed all indiscriminately. They say a group of heroes held it all back alongside a loyal knight and a spoon-collecting dragon. What most don't know however, are the stories between the pages, of the inhabitants of Ladriene and their lives apart from the doom and destruction. Explore with them now, tales of friendship, love, and pie-eating!

A series of tales surrounding characters from a Dungeons & Dragons campaign with my lovely friends, who helped build this world and are still creating it with every roll of the dice.

Book two of the Alactria Trilogy! Amy has learnt all about her family and has forged strong bonds with her Anchemi. But with Liam on a scouting mission which could take months, and her and her Anchemi to potentially be sent to the front lines of the war, will she see him again? Does she want to see him? When forced to flee from the Academy, she and her Anchemi soon get caught in the midst of a rebellion, and reunited with Phantom, learns the truth about the Dragon King and her heritage as the Queen of Dragons. Extract: The young dragonet lay curled up in a corner of the cave. She was silver all over, with golden horns, spines and claws. As you watched, the gold crept up her body whilst she slept, travelling from the horns, all the way down to the tip of the tail. In a blink you would have missed it. Where once a silver dragon had been sleeping, she was now fully gold, her breaths coming out in wisps of smoke from the scale lined nostrils. The dragon slowly opened a silver eye, with turquoise highlights near the pupil. She was awake, shown when she shifted and froze, before nervously turning her head to look at her wings; staring at them as if she had never seen them before. Her gaze travelled to the spines, the talons, and finally the shimmering scales that gave the illusion of liquid gold. A gust of wind moved the vines covering the entrance. Light flooded in, illuminating her surroundings, the dragon glittering and sparkling in the light. The wind died. The vines fell back. The darkness returned. And the dragonet trembled. Elaine Rainier had a pretty clear picture of how she hoped her future would turn out. All she ever dreamed of was to live a perfectly normal life and work as her adopted father's assistant blacksmith. Simple and easy. All that changed the day her sister was kidnapped, an event that turned her life upside down and sent it on a completely different course, all in the blink of an eye. Now Elaine is forced to face the past she preferred to leave far behind as she searches for her sister with the help of the Captain of the Guard, Gunter, who she might have been harboring secret feelings for since they were kids. But the captain has secrets of his own, ones he's reluctant to share, and he may or may not accept Elaine's own secrets, ones she had hoped would never see the light of day. Together, they head for the king's mountain estate where they hope to find safety from the assassins who took Elaine's sister, assassins who might have been after a different target altogether. All the while, Elaine tries to deny the fact that her future dreams may never become reality. **If you like stories about elemental magic and dragon shifters, then you've come to the right place.
