As much as Criselle Daquin wanted to say that she had enjoyed her childhood as any other child, she couldn't say she did. Fear of being captured in the early century as a witch was a major part of her every day life. The Daquin family was made up of talented witches and wizards, and Criselle was expected to be no different. But as villagers begin to suspect her aunt as a witch she unknowingly seals her fate by slipping a word to a fellow muggle classmate. As her aunt burns on a stake, she utters an incantation with her final breath, encasing the traitor in the family, in a porcelain doll.
As centuries pass, so does the doll. Criselle no longer has the freedom of running up a hill or eating the treacle tarts that her mother made. No, instead she is trapped inside a doll. Passed down from family to family, she finally takes relief in herself as the current owner shatters the doll and sets Criselle free. But things are different from the time she was around. Attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was always her dream. But as the doll is put back together, Criselle discovers that she can still see and hear wherever the doll is.
The newly assembled doll is now inside of the Dursley's home, in number four, Privet Drive.
