Moving from the city to the country side is not easy for Mariah Josephine Cheir. Her mother's job as a pack doctor has Mariah, and her family moving constantly. Just as school comes to an end, she is the new transfer student, and the new toy for all the male wolves. But what they don't know is that she packs a serious bite when she's anger. Years of anger management didn't even touch this problem.
One day as she was checking out the new pack territory, she stumbles across a girl trying to kill herself by jumping of a cliff into a lake, with stones in her pocket. What really got Mariah off was the fact that the girl was going to do it in front of the whole student body, who were cheering. As Mariah goes to save this girl, she happens to find her future mate.
