Your father and you finally settle down in Hidden Sand due to you wanting to become a shinobi like your mother that you've never met. You meet a red-haired boy named Gaara on your first day at The Sand Village and quickly become best friends. Your father and you, were the only ones in the village that accepted Gaara. Though, as soon as you and Gaara become best friends, things drastically change and you end up living in the Leaf Village. Gaara believes that you left him because he was a monster, and that turned him even more bitter than before. 

A/N: Please enjoy this rewrite, I hope my writing style has improved a bunch. And, I'm really sorry for discontinuing the second book of the first book and not mentioning that this would happen? Though I'm not asking for forgiveness because it is what it is and sometimes in life, you just have to suck it up. Also, I'm not going to promise that I'll update this story daily because I don't like to break promises. I just thought I should say that now since I've never really told you guys. I'm also keeping the first two books (the second one was discontinued for those who are new) so that you guys can compare if you want. A lot of things might be really different- scratch the might, they most likely will. Oh wells, it is what it is.

The Way Into Mist Village (NarutoxMHA) by worldwalkerdj

What happens when you take 4 hero students, one ex-villain, two aliens, and over 15 ninjas, and throw them all together on a weeks long road trip through their enemies territory? *** The 4th Great Shinobi War has ended, and Gaara is starting to wonder how the nations will maintain their fragile peace without a common enemy. He's devised a plan to go on a diplomatic tour of the shinobi world, and try to establish strong bonds with each village, and Mist Village is his first stop. Joining Gaara and his two ever loyal siblings, Temari and Kankuro, will be the Leaf Shinobi, Naruto, Shikamaru, Ino, Tenten, Hinata, Neji, and surprisingly, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke isn't really going for the mission though, he's been persuaded to join them by Gaara's new, out of this world teacher, Shine Likstar, and her partner Wally West, and their current hero trainees, Momo, Shoto, Dabi--and now joining them: Bakugo and Camie. They all don't start off on the best foot, and Gaara wonders how they'll make it to Mist without killing each other. Along the way the group runs into Sasuek's old Team Taka, and makes some detours into creepy lairs, all the while trying not to drive each other insane with their crazy hijinks and culture clashes. Not to mention past trauma. But things may heat up when they actually reach Mist Village and find more than they bargained for. [This story is a sort of spin off of the canon story line, and picks up where my shorter retelling of the first show in "New Way of Ninja" leaves off. Read that book first if you want to know how these characters know each other. Otherwise if you just want to jump right in and figure it out, I respect that approach too. This should be a lot of fun. The story is styled to be more Slice of Life/Action, but they'll be ships, funny situations, and angst and drama in plenty for all of you who like a little spiciness with your friendship stories. Promises to be a deep dive.

They discontinued it(I think) and I really enjoyed the story so I decided to continue it putting my own style into it, trying to make it seem more different than RenRae26's own work. Of course I'll implemented the different povs and how they ended each chapter with suspense but i'll try to make it more "NightlyProduction"(whatever that means I only got two published stories) The main difference of the bat is how I'm shifting the focus of Hinata being the main character. Im turning it into more of a "what if-" situation/story and not a Hinata story(how her leaving and coming back changed how everyone sees her and how different they are as characters). Don't know if that's a mistake or a good thing(what the fans of Renrae26's original story want)but that's what I want to do with this story. The story starts right after the battle at The Valley of The End where Naruto battled Sasuke right before he joined Orochimaru in order to gain more power. Sasuke pierced Naruto's right shoulder with his Chidori technique. My story deviates from the canon series because Naruto's wound was not immediately healed by the Nine-Tails. Also, Naruto didn't go into his initial junchūriki form, as he refused to use the Nine-Tails chakra. The story starts with Naruto recovering from that fight in the hospital. Afterward, he is sent on a 2-year mission with his sensei Kakashi Hatake. As they travel together, their bonds grow stronger until they eventually learn about each other's true feelings. (Yaoi and violence!) ! - I do not recommend reading this story if you are not familiar with the series. ! - In this story, Naruto starts off as a 17-year-old, not 14 as in the series. !- The story continues until the canon's Pain episodes, so if you haven't seen that yet, there will be spoilers here. !- Yaoi lemon in later chapters. The KakaNaru relationship evolves from teacher/student to friends (bromance) to lovers while they travel together. I started writing this story because I'm a big fan of the Naruto series. However, there have always been two things bothering me. For one, the filler episodes and constant flashbacks of course, and secondly, the lack of relations. For example, Kakashi not caring all too much about Naruto's upbringing even though he is Minato's son. Or the fact that nobody (not even his godfather Jiraiya) adopted Naruto. And don't even get me started on the fact that nobody ever told Naruto anything about his parents, nor did he ever ask... Anyway, the list is long. It's my first time writing fanfiction. Obviously, I do not own Naruto or any other characters from the series/manga. My native language is Dutch, not English, so please try and forgive any spelling mistakes you might find.
