I sit on the bed and cross my arms, wincing when the pressure from my arm sends a jolt of pain through my injured hand. "Yes, you have been. Shock is plastered all over his face. "You are impossible!" He whisper-shouts. "Any semblance of an argument is blown way out of proportion." I place both hands on the counter and look into the sink. "All I've ever wanted was for us to get along," he scolds. "And it seems like every time we make any kind of progress, you push me away." I scoff and look over at him.
