Lanesboro, Minnesota; population of roughly 750 people. Lanesboro was a city where everybody knew everybody. So, you can imagine the shock of having one of the more well-known families in the community found dead. The Cartwells' owned the local bakery, and were known for not only their deliciously sweet treats, but also for their hearts of pure gold. The Cartwell Family, consisting of 35 year old Naomi, 37 year old James, and 4 year old Sophia, were on their way to their yearly Christmas trip. Each year they would spend a week in their family cabin, enjoying the snow together. But, this year took a turn for the worst. The family ended up in a fatal car accident, killing them on impact. Their car was found a few days later, but only the parents' bodies were found. The townsfolk were at a loss as to where little Sophia's body had gone, but after weeks of searching and finding nothing, they deemed her to be dead as well. The town held a funeral for the family, in which most of the town came to. The town never did find Sophia's dead body, and they never will. Why, you might ask? Trust me, you'll find out.
