Meet Jake Brewster. He's young, handsome, and extremely adventurous. Oh... And he is poor. His family is homeless, and they hunt down animals to survive and work off minimum wage. As for Jake, he roams the streets of LA as a member of a dangerous group of drug dealers/smugglers, where he enjoys stealing drugs, hunting animals, and storing the drugs inside them, and hurting a lot of people. Except for one. Enter Marley Rose. She's your average, humane, straight-A student who returns home to LA from London. Oh..... And she is rich. Marley is living the "good life", making friends and enemies, throwing cool parties, having personal butlers and maids do whatever you say. Yep, she is living it...except, she does not know how to live it since she has been deported to London all her life.
At school, they both notice that they share equal difficulties with other people and themselves, and they share a perfect bond and believe that they are meant for each other.
