The subject stared at Vayda for a moment, analyzing the strange woman in front of her. The Dr. felt rather awkward being the one examined, and hated that she couldn't tell what the girl was thinking. 
If she could read minds, and that was a work in process, she would know that the girl was thinking about how much she loves scrabble, and how she used to take the pieces and spell out her name, over and over again. But then her face fell, she could remember the pieces, she could remember what she did with them, and how much she loved the game, but she could not for the life of her remember her name.
