(This story will be drastically edited since I originally made this prompt three years ago. I will post chapters when the first ten are ready) "Silently she made a prayer to The Seer to protect Ari, to send her to the twin world called Earth, and to keep her human. Being a dragon was unsafe. A single white butterfly landed on the mossy rock, and the egg beneath it glistened and then vanished. Her prayers were answered. She could die knowing she had saved her daughter.
Erphinas' body went limp as Sylas watched. There was no emotion in his onyx eyes, only the reflection of his sister laying dead on the forest floor. He glanced to where her head was pointed, but there was nothing there except mossy green rocks and a few flowers, on one of which a white checkered butterfly perched. How useless of her to pray. Butterflies don't answer prayers. He scoffed and turned back towards the castle. The Throne was finally his." -Dragon's Throne

Drekablóð Rising:Fire(Book 1) by Phoenix-Dragoness
34 parts Complete
The war that started it all. Five hundred years ago a war erupted in Elementa when humans started hunting a revered race called the Drekablóð; half humanoid, half dragon. The humans saw them as abominations for their differences; fear of a race more powerful than another makes others do rash and deadly things. After the humans slaughtered a whole settlement of Drekablóð, the magical creatures of Elementa rose up in defense of the Drekablóð. The humans likewise called on their dwarf and elf allies. Thus Bellum ex Quod Draco ipsos Troiugenas began. For ten long, bloody years the races fought hard for the future of the Drekablóð. One wanting to exterminate them like pest. The other wanting them to survive and flourish. In the end, the humans won, but their victory cost them and the rest of Elementa dearly. The alicorns and dwarves disappeared. The wyverns and elves were practically extinct. Dragons were a rare sight. Only the humans survived to tell the tale of how they wiped out the evil monsters that tried to take their lands. Elementa, originally a lush and beautiful land, was now split into four different climates, equally harsh in their own way. But the humans prevailed in cultivating Elementa and chasing away any remaining magical creatures into her far corners. With the resistance of magical creatures no longer in their way, the humans continued their 'sport' of hunting the Drekablóð into extinction. Half a millennium later, the seeress Carmentha foresaw the return of the Drekablóð, and restoring Elementa to her prime and defeating the wicked and harsh rulership of Elementa. These four children have been destined to save Elementa before they were ever born. Can they overcome their difficulties and save Elementa? Or will they fail and allow Elementa to fall into darkness forever? There will be some minimum swearing and minimum acts of violence. I would rate this book for 14 and up.

Avalon Isn't What It Used To Be

40 parts Complete Mature

My mother says my endless curiosity and my need to venture is a curse. Though, I know she only says that because I'm just like my father; who went out to curb his appetite for new experiences and never came home. Do I feel abandoned? No. How could I? Not when I fully understand the craving... Fae almost never leave Avalon. It's rare, and normally Fae that leave Avalon are forced into exile. Hardly ever do they leave voluntarily. My mother hates to see me leave, and a part of me is ashamed to do so, seeing as I'm basically abandoning her like my father. But she has my baby brother, Almned, who isn't even 500 yet. And I'm one penalty away from serving time in the Avalonian Guardhouse. Which is ridiculous, considering I have only broken a few rules. Avalon used to be a vast place of freedom, a sanctuary for persecuted Fae, the Homeland where everyone had a voice. Well... Avalon is not what it used to be... Maybe the Otherworld will be big enough to spread my wings. *** What happens when a Fae leaves Avalon and befriends a Human? Yes, my book is rated mature. Though, it really isn't THAT bad. I really tried to keep it clean. Also, this is a part 1. Part 2 will come eventually.
