Dragons of War - Rising Storm de AustrealisInk
75 partes Concluida
150 years in the future little exists of humanity but what they left behind; a war-torn world. Those left that survived fractured into two groups, the Cabal and the Renegade. One fights for order, the other for freedom. Neither remembers how, or when, the fighting started but both realize that it will end with their own extinction... Until one day a crazy man's ideas are realized and materialized into something that could change the war forever. Jaya has suffered from this war-torn world like many others. Orphaned at a young age, she has known the bottom of the tier her whole life and her whole life she has dreamed only of the top. Of the Dragon Warriors. Made of fire and rage, the Dragon Warriors are the greatest weapon ever created. The ability to become a vicious beast with wings, claws and bulletproof scales made them the new hope for winning the war against the Cabal. At least they used to be thought of as that. Nowadays the people see them as the fodder that wastes their food and fills their graves. Inside Jaya is a deep-seated rage to get back at the ones who took everything away from her in the war but her shy outward personality stops her from doing anything but daydream. Jaya must fight against not only the people around her, but also herself in order to achieve that which she desires most: Revenge. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each part is 1k words. Content Warning: Blood, gore & death in later chapters. There is NO romance in this story.

Optional sequel to Upon Wings Of Change. (This is a version with *JUST* Tessa's POV (different from the main version, which has 3 POVs. Was my attempt to revise the slower pacing, but I'm not sure how well it worked, but since I put in the work, here it is.) Summary: The dragonets are flourishing; both those in the park and those helping the Kymari. As the first dragonets to hatch in the Kymari civilization, Tessa and her brother are paving a new path as they grow up and learn how to fit into the world. New beginnings are often great things, but sometimes shadows from the distant past come calling. Excerpt: I braced my feet against the wall as I pulled. Suddenly, the lever swung downward. I lost my grip and tumbled backward. I landed on my side and slid across the counter. My legs and tail flailed as I tried to get to my feet or slow down-but I didn't manage it in time. Almost in slow motion, my feet went off the counter as I slid into the air. Without thinking, my wings popped open and beat hard as I twisted, trying to turn right side up so I could fly properly. I blinked in shock when I realized I was already flying upward. Grinning triumphantly, I beat my wings again and went back to the counter. Pleased with my flying abilities, I proudly landed on the counter - and forgot to slow down, which promptly sent me sliding across the slippery surface, lightly colliding with the glass door. I ducked my head sheepishly, glad no one else had seen that. My eyes locked onto the gap between the glass doors. With an eager grin, I pressed my shoulder against the edge and pushed. My feet struggled to find traction, but it was opening! Once I pushed the door far enough, I scampered over to the cantaloupe. It was much bigger up close. I blinked slowly, trying to think about how I was going to move it. There was no way I'd be able to lift it. It was round though. Round things could roll, right?

This world is set in the past. In a time where nothing was impossible, Where dragons fly above our heads. We learned to ride them, and become friends with them. We created artifacts that make our dragos small and then big again when we need them. That's what sets our world into two sides. A side where dragon riders lived and flew on them. And a side where they hated dragons, and the one that rode them. Even though we managed to work in peace, there was no war between us. Only fights that were under control and rules. In the Arena in the city called Aeloria. A city where there were both sides. They mostly ignored each other. But it was hard to get in this city. Mostly it was the people that lived there. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons. And this story can be easy but also hard to understand. But I will still share it. But first we have to start from the beginning. What will this story bring? Will we be able to see the outcome? Let's wait and see. --------------------------------------------- "Get on!" Leora screams at Ardyn. Extending her hand for her to take. "No, I'm not getting there I hate ships." I shook my head and took a step back. Leora sighed and shook her head in mocked amusement. "Are you telling me you are able to fly on a dragon. But you are scared of standing on a ship. Don't make me laugh." "Yes. So what, I'm not getting on." I said angry and she grabbed my hand and pulled me up. (⚠️ Intersex, violation, sex scenes ⚠️) Grammar mistakes, probably bad intimate scenes (I'm bad at writing them.)

No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. Is there a way for her to hide her true identity in this new world while retaining her humanity? --------------------- Sneak Peek: I jumped over the lip of the tray and beat down hard with my wings. I had expected to only slow my fall; I had not expected to end up gaining so much height. I squawked in surprise and spread my wings wide in alarm before gravity regained its hold on me. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. I turned around to regard the tray again. They say practice makes perfect. With another hop and a single wingbeat, I managed to land in the sand tray with fanned wings slowing my momentum. That was much more graceful. But a wing-assisted hop wasn't true flight. And I still wasn't on the windowsill. ---------------------------- Entire semi-polished draft can be read on Wattpad. (74,890 words) The wind rushed past me as my wings beat against the night sky. I noticed a copse of trees up ahead. I slowed to a stop, talons clutching a low-hanging branch. I looked beyond the trees and a pair of glowing golden eyes met my own. Wolf eyes. My eyes widened in fear as I took off. I dodged the trees in my path, but one branch snapped on my wing. My vision blurred, pain lacing through my wing. I continued to flap my wings, clinging desperately to the notion I would make it out alive. More than one wolf was chasing me, their paws a staccato on the ground. They would catch up. They would devour me. I tried to stay in the air, but the pain was unbearable. I fell to the ground, fluttering down like a dead leaf. I snapped my eyes open. Breathing heavily, I sat up. My room shifted in and out of focus as my eyes adjusted. When I was little, my father always told me that dreams were just my imagination, that people were never chased by wolves, and people certainly could never be birds. Vera Stone is a seventeen-year-old girl who lives in a small Louisiana town by the bayou. Small, boring, where nothing ever happens. Or so she and her friends think. One night the hidden darkness surrounding their town and their lives comes to the surface. Will Vera and her friends figure out the secrets hidden through their town's history before it's too late?
