Rogue. The word defined who and what he was.
Obey the Alpha, protect the pack. That was the Law. He did, with terrible results. To keep the pack's old leader from disobeying the king's command, he broke it himself, making a new werewolf with his bite.
He would do it again, to protect the one person he came to love. Love, newly found, now forever lost to him.
He became rogue... Even though he didn't want to leave what he had just found.
He was willing to spend his life hiding from the Alpha King, while trying to help the newly bitten werewolf that he was responsible for and who passionately hated him.
Now he was a rogue. He was part of nothing and no one told him what to do. He tried to remind himself that's the way he had always liked it.

Bones cracking and fur sprouts out from my human skin to transform into my large black wolf. With one look at me, it was enough for my angel to faint.
