"Ben! Wait for me!" I called to my new boyfriend as he ran up the hill. He wanted to bring me to a special place and this was his choice. This is were we met exactly a year ago. On my 16th birthday. And tonight is a remembrance of that.
He got to the top of the hill, stopped and looked back at me. "I thought you wanted to be a track star!" He yelled back.
"Volleyball, track or soccer star! Either one!" I replied with a smile.
"Well if you don't pick up the pace you won't be any!" Taunted me. I got up to the top of the hill. He picked me up bridal style. "I never thought that after a year of being friends it would lead us to this. Theresa, I love you. Don't you ever forget that," he said. I couldn't help but blush.
"I love you too," I replied.
"I have to tell you something. Please don't get mad at me and please don't think I have lied to you," he said.
He pulled out his watch and pressed a button. Before I new it, there was a shooting star in the sky but it was different cuz it stopped over our heads. What was going on?
