"Once upon a time, not so long ago, two kingdoms ruled over the land in peace: the kingdom of Lauria, and the kingdom of Mahrac. 

One day, the king of Lauria declared war on the kingdom of Marac. The battle lasted many days, and many soldiers had fallen on the battlefield, fighting valiantly for their kingdoms. The king of Lauria fell ill, passing away in the midst of the battle. The kingdom was devastated, and the king's men became ravenous for monster dust. 

The king of Marac, already having lost many soldiers, surrendered to the kingdom of Lauria. What was left of the Maracian kingdom was sealed under Mt. Ebott by a powerful sorceress, and were never to be seen again." 

I looked down to the small girl in my arms, gently stroking her silky hair. She stared up at me, her eyes sparkling. "And all was well in the kingdom of Lauria. The fallen were given proper burials, and Lauria was built back up from the ground. The queen ruled over the kingdom justly, and was a friend to all. And she will always keep us safe." 

I kissed the girl's forehead, "Goodnight, my angel." She smiled at me, "Night-night, Emmy."
