Lorelei Locke's life changed when she swallowed a fish oil pill.

After emerging from the cacoon, she had changed like a butterfly. She just didn't know how until she kissed the boy she loved.

Desperate for a way to get rid of her powers, Lorelei seeks help in New York.

She tells no one of what she is capable of, why she always wears gloves.

But Matthew Murdock didn't need to be told; he could sense it.

The Secrets of Petra (Parker) Stark by Sunflowerseed090
30 parts Complete
August 10, 2005 Heaven forbid the wrong person finds this journal. If something is to ever happen to us, I want you to know the truth. Your father and I are agents for a secret government organization called S.H.I.E.L.D.. My hope is that you will never become involved in their affairs. Our mission is to protect the world. Save lives. We were sent on a mission about a month ago to take down a Hydra base. You should have learned about them in history, but they are our enemies. Very few remain. With luck, by the time you are reading this, Hydra will be wiped off of the face of the earth for good. During our mission, we came across Hydra's experimentation on a baby. They had not gotten very far with their experiments and the two year old was still perfectly healthy and fully human. We took the baby back to S.H.I.E.L.D with us. As agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., your father and I have always known that we would never be able to settle down and raise a family. Of course we always have wanted children of our own, but being sent on missions every few months, it would be inconvenient and troublesome. But when we found the baby, we knew that she was our chance at having a family. That baby was you, Petra. You gave us the chance to be parents. I pray that you will never have to read this, and that your father and I will be able to tell you ourselves, but I know that in our line of work, there is a chance that we may be gone. You are a blessing in our lives and we love you very much. Love, Mary Parker This fic idea was given to me by @NexusNormKnight. Also, I don't own anything Marvel related or that you might recognize
The Weight of Grief by Kale_Kabbage
12 parts Complete Mature
It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. Grief is a monster that lies dormant in the darkest quarters of your mind, growing stronger and stronger until you can't fight anymore. Until you can't breathe. Peter was fractured. The monster having grown too big, and without any support left to hold him up, the world of drugs dug its claws into him. And it was slowly killing him, like a sickly sweet poison that dulled the pain while quietly feeding on his soul. He was powerless to stop it. He was too tired to stop it. Tony was doing pretty good. Aside from having died, he was doing pretty good. Resurrected from the dead, check. Thanos dead, check. Wife and daughter thriving, check. He'd never expected to get his life back, that was for sure. He was thankful for the second chance. Unfortunately, Tony was quick to discover that the kid had all but lost his own life. It felt like a knife slowly twisting into his chest every time he saw the kid: in agony. Now Tony wasn't exactly the poster-child for a good emotional support figure, but he wasn't about to sit back and let this continue. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Tony couldn't help but question whether he would be able to save Peter from the weight of grief. **NO Starker** Triggers Warnings: Substance Use/Abuse Depressive and/or Suicidal Thoughts/Mentions Rape Threats/Mentions Descriptive Blood/Minimal Gore Some Self-Harm Coarse Language Mental Illness (various) This is a heavier story, so please don't read if you're not comfortable with any of the above triggers. To All Those Brave and Lovely

53 parts Complete

Nora Reynolds didn't ask anyone to save her. And yet, Tony Stark seems to be intent on doing so anyways, becoming her legal guardian after her father dies in the middle of a terrorist attack (a death caused by one of Spiderman's mistakes) and taking her to live with him in the middle of New York. Her new life reminds her of the Cinderella story that she and her friend Eden used to dream about, but she had never pictured it happening like this- with the news calling her THE ONE WHO WALKED AWAY, and the nightmares, and the only person she can really talk to being Tony's dorky intern Peter, who she spends quite a lot of time with. Nora tries her best to navigate her new school and her new feelings for Peter, even with the continued mixed feelings she has toward Spiderman (guilt, blame, gratitutude) and the new group that seems intent on taking down the avengers, one member at a time, and doesn't mind taking her with them. Everything you recognize was created by Marvel. This is a fanfiction.
